Koko Furlong
Koko was born and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho, and feels incredibly lucky to have grown up with mountains in her backyard and endless access to the outdoors. She began her movement journey by the time she could stand, dancing and skiing in the valley as soon as she could get on her feet, and she hasn’t stopped moving since. Even as a kid, she was the one wiggling in her chair at dinner and dancing around the living room. Her love of movement deepened in high school while dancing with the advanced company at the Footlight Dance Centre, where weekly Pilates classes helped her build core strength and support both her physical and mental well-being.
After graduating from the University of Redlands with a BA in Studio Art, Koko returned home to teach at The Sage School and soon found herself drawn to the warm, energizing environment at CoreFocus. Inspired to keep learning, she began with a Yin Yoga Teacher Training and quickly discovered how much she loved studying anatomy and the ways movement supports healing. That curiosity led her into Pilates Mat Teacher Training in the spring of 2024, where she continued expanding her understanding of a practice she values so deeply.
Koko is excited to keep growing as a movement instructor and to share her love of Pilates with others. She has learned that movement is the secret ingredient that keeps her feeling like herself. Whether it’s a quick walk, a good stretch, or an impromptu dance break, staying in motion helps her reset, stay focused, and keep her day running smoothly.
